Although the majority of our students do have full-time work experience, early career and college senior prospective students may still apply. We evaluate candidates on their work in any given field after the completion of their undergraduate degree. Backgrounds and interests vary widely among our students, but they all share a vision of how the MBA will empower their future.

New applicants are required to submit two recommendations. Reapplicants only need to submit one new recommendation. Recommendations should be written by individuals who are well acquainted with your performance in a work setting, preferably from a direct supervisor or manager. The recommendations provide us with third-party confirmation and insights into your achievements.

You should choose recommenders who will support your candidacy with concrete examples of performance and impact on the organization. Questions and topics listed above are for reference only.

Actual submission of letters of recommendation is done online, through the online application system only. For the — application year, first-time applicants must respond to one essay question and one short answer question. Reapplicants are required to respond to the reapplicant essay question.

Describe your short-term and long-term career goals. What are you passionate about and why? Please describe your career progress since you last applied and how you have enhanced your candidacy. Include information on short-term and long-term career goals, as well as your continued interest in UCLA Anderson. Are there any extenuating circumstances in your profile about which the Admissions Committee should be aware?

Please use your best judgment. No preference is given in the evaluation process to applicants who submit a response to the optional question. Your essays are the primary way for you to share your perspectives and plans with the Admissions Committee. The application for fall is now available through the LSAC application service. Applications are due by February 1, Apply to the JD Program. Applicants for admission to the professional curriculum of UCLA School of Law, leading to the degree of Juris Doctor, must have received a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college of approved standing before they begin their work at the law school.

Students are admitted for the fall semester only. UCLA Law offers a three-year, full-time course of study. Evening, summer, and part-time programs are not offered.

Though we anticipate that most applicants will continue to apply with an LSAT score, UCLA Law does not have a preference in the admissions process for one test over another and will evaluate all applications holistically regardless of the test taken.

The Credential Assembly Service CAS was developed to help participating schools collect and analyze data pertaining to the academic records of applicants. All applicants, including those reapplying, those taking the GRE, and applicants from institutions that do not issue grades, are required to register with the Credential Assembly Service.

A transcript from each college or university attended and listed on the registration form should be sent directly to LSAC's Credential Assembly Service in accordance with their instructions. The Credential Assembly Service will analyze and summarize the transcript s.

Applicants should not wait for fall grades before sending transcripts to LSAC. However, applicants must submit work completed after the initial registration to LSAC, as updated reports will be forwarded to the Law School Admissions Office. Accepted applicants will be required to have their undergraduate institution submit directly to UCLA School of Law a final transcript showing the award of a baccalaureate degree before classes begin in the fall semester.

At least one letter should be from someone familiar with the applicant's academic work, if at all possible. This service is included with the Credential Assembly Service registration. To use this service, follow the directions for submitting letters outlined at LSAC.
